Top-ranked Nebraska continued its dominant run Saturday night, sweeping No. 12 Oregon 25-13, 25-16, 25-20 before a sold-out, school-record crowd of 12,364 at Matthew Knight Arena.
The Huskers hit .425 as a team while limiting the Ducks to a .152 clip, Oregon’s lowest of the season. It marked Nebraska’s eighth 24-0 start in program history and its 55th consecutive regular-season win. The victory also extended the Huskers’ road and neutral-site winning streak to 26 matches, tying for eighth all-time in NCAA history and second in program history.
Head coach Dani Busboom Kelly improved to 65-28 against ranked opponents in her career and 23-1 since taking over at Nebraska. The match showcased a balanced, efficient Nebraska attack that never let Oregon build sustained momentum.
Nebraska controlled the opening set from the start, jumping out to a 7-1 lead that forced an early Oregon timeout. The Huskers hit .531 with 19 kills and only two errors on 32 swings while holding the Ducks to .148. A kill from Virginia Adriano pushed the lead to 15-7 at the media timeout, and Harper Murray and Bergen Reilly helped close it out for a 1-0 advantage.
The second set featured more of the same. After an early exchange, Nebraska unleashed a pair of 7-0 runs to build commanding leads. The Huskers hit .350 while restricting Oregon to .095, with a Sigler kill and block assists sealing the 25-16 set.
Oregon showed more resistance in the third, briefly taking an 11-10 lead behind consecutive kills from Alanah Clemente. Nebraska answered with a late surge, scoring four straight points to reach 20-15 and eventually closing on Andi Jackson’s ninth kill for the 25-20 finish and the sweep. It was the fifth time this season Nebraska has hit .400 or better in a match.
The Nebraska offense was powered by its pin hitters. Harper Murray and Teraya Sigler each finished with 14 kills, hitting .481 and .458, respectively. Virginia Adriano added 11 kills on a .500 clip, while Andi Jackson contributed nine kills at .368. Busboom Kelly praised the efficiency, noting that having three pin hitters above .450 made the night “decent” for setter Bergen Reilly.
Reilly orchestrated the attack with her sixth double-double of the season. Defensively, Olivia Mauch and Laney Choboy provided steady floor coverage. Nebraska used only eight players in the match.
The crowd of 12,364 set a new Matthew Knight Arena volleyball record, surpassing the previous mark of 8,566 from the 2024 Nebraska-Oregon match and ranking among the largest NCAA crowds of the season.
Nebraska continues its Pacific Northwest trip with a matchup against No. 18 Washington on Sunday. First serve is set for 5:30 p.m. CT on FS1. With a two-game lead in the Big Ten standings, the Huskers remain in a strong position as they pursue another conference title.
