Terms of Use
These terms cover carrikerchronicles.com and the Carriker Chronicles mobile app. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the site or the app.
What this is
Carriker Chronicles is independent Nebraska Huskers coverage — articles, videos, podcasts, and schedules. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the University of Nebraska, its athletic department, the Big Ten Conference, ESPN, or any other organisation whose name, team, or marks may appear in our coverage. Those names and marks belong to their owners and are used to report on them.
Our content
Articles, videos, graphics, and the design of the site belong to Carriker Chronicles or to the people who made them. You are welcome to read, share links, and quote a reasonable extract with credit and a link. Republishing whole articles, or using our material commercially, needs our permission first.
Other people’s content
Videos play through YouTube’s own player and remain subject to YouTube’s terms. Carriker’s Crew shows are made by their own creators, who publish on the network by agreement and keep ownership of their work. Schedule and score data comes from third-party sources; we pass it through as we receive it and cannot guarantee it is correct or current — check the official source before making plans around a kickoff time.
If you write for us
Contributors keep the copyright in what they write. By submitting an article you give us a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide licence to publish, edit for length and clarity, distribute, and promote it on the site, in the app, in the newsletter, and on our social channels.
You also confirm that:
- the work is yours and does not infringe anyone else’s rights;
- you have the right to any images you supply, and you have told us where they came from;
- it is not defamatory, and anything presented as fact is something you believe to be true;
- you will tell us about anything that could look like a conflict of interest.
We may decline, edit, or take down a submission. If you want a published piece removed, ask us and we will discuss it — the licence above is what lets archives and reprints stay intact, not a way to keep your work against your wishes.
Using the site fairly
Do not attempt to break into any part of the site, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, impersonate anyone, or use it to break the law. We may block access that does.
Camp, merchandise, and bookings
Football camp registration, merchandise, and speaking or signing bookings may be handled on other platforms with their own terms and their own refund and cancellation rules. Those apply to that transaction.
No warranty, and limits
The site and app are provided as they are. We work to keep them accurate and available, but we do not promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free, and opinions in articles are the author’s. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or app.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do, and continuing to use the site afterwards means the updated terms apply.
