Offensive lineman Gunnar Gottula who went out of the Oregon game with a concussion and was unavailable for the Washington game has been cleared and is available against Illinois. Gottula’s return as a starter gives the Huskers six offensive linemen allowing them to rotate the tackles as needed.
Defensive back Jamir Conn has been upgraded from Questionable to Probable.
While running back Jamal Rule has not been on the injury report for some time it’s thought that he’s still struggling with a high ankle sprain which occurred against Michigan State. He’s seen playing time in the last two games, but his playing time has been limited.
The Nebraska depth chart continues to list a few “ORs”.
This is the first season for new injury reporting rules for the Big Ten. The conference requires each team to report injuries each of the three days before the game as well as on gamed day – two hours before kickoff. Players will be designated in one of four manners, “out,” “doubtful,” “questionable,” or “probable.”
This is the report as of Friday evening, so there will be another report before game time, meaning the listed players are subject to change.
