Is 6-6 the End for Matt Rhule at Nebraska?
As Nebraska football stares down the stretch run of the season, the conversation surrounding Matt Rhule’s job security and contract buyout is heating up in Lincoln. The Huskers LIVE team analyzes the realistic benchmark for change: will a 6-6 finish force the administration's hand, or does reaching seven wins guarantee Rhule another year with a mandated offensive coordinator overhaul? We evaluate the steep financial cost of a $60+ million buyout, the risks of triggering another roster exodus via the transfer portal, and the viable alternatives—from promoting defensive coordinator Rob Aurich to targeting offensive proven minds like Kirk Ciarrocca. Where does Nebraska football go from here?
