Anthony Colandrea Film Breakdown: Pocket Presence & Ball Security

Nebraska starting quarterback Anthony Colandrea has injected electric playmaking and mobility into Dana Holgorsen’s offense, but film review against Indiana exposes crucial mechanical growing pains. In this Nebraska football deep-dive breakdown, we evaluate Colandrea’s pocket awareness, his hesitation to climb vertically between the tackles, and why four of Nebraska’s five sacks were credited to quarterback bailing rather than offensive line failure. As Matt Rhule and the Cornhuskers prepare for the Oregon Ducks, Colandrea must learn when to live to fight another day, throw the ball away, and secure football possessions in manageable down-and-distance situations. We break down the PFF offensive line grades, interior guard struggles with Brandon Black and Gunnar Gottula, and what adjustments Nebraska’s passing game must implement to stay ahead of the chains.
