We’re half-way through the season and Nebraska has stayed surprisingly healthy. At this point there have been no season ending injuries. Let’s hope that continues.

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule has often said a player’s greatest asset is availability. So, he made it a priority during the offseason to ramp up his player’s health regime. Thus far much of the Husker’s health can be attributed to Assistant AD for Performance Nutrition Kristen Coggin and Strength and Conditioning Coach Cory Campbell. Between their efforts and Nebraska’s recovery facilities there have been very few players miss game time.

This is yet another factor that gets the attention of recruits as to what Nebraska has to offer.

The Nebraska depth chart continues to list several “ORs”. We gained back one “OR” on the offensive line and two on the defensive line.  The rest stayed the same.

This is the first season for new injury reporting rules for the Big Ten. The conference requires each team to report injuries each of the three days before the game as well as on gamed day – two hours before kickoff. Players will be designated in one of four manners, “out,” “doubtful,” “questionable,” or “probable.”

There will be two more reports after this posting, so the list of players are subject to change.
